Come ride with us.  Moto Canada is a not-for-profit organization representing the interests of the manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, scooters, ATV’s, Side x Sides and related industries in Canada. Our organization also includes a for-profit company, Moto Canada Connect, which focuses on the management and marketing of various powersport vehicle shows across the country.  We work to promote the positive and responsible sale and use of these vehicles in Canada and welcome new members to join our organization.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Stakeholder Relations Specialist.

This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, steering communication strategies, grant management and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for fostering positive stakeholder engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, government agencies, community organizations, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and a unified approach to stakeholder engagement
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder communications strategy aligned with organizational objectives
  • Craft clear and compelling messages tailored to different audiences, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging
  • Monitor industry trends, news, and social media to identify opportunities and risks related to stakeholder relations
  • Produce high-quality written and visual content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, blog posts, and social media
  • Develop and implement communication plans to address potential issues that may impact stakeholder relations
  • Act as a spokesperson providing clear and transparent communication to stakeholders and the public
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of stakeholder relations and communications initiatives
  • Regularly analyze and report on the impact of communication strategies, making data data-drive recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Develop and adhere to a formal grant management process

Qualifications & Skills

This role will require a strategic thinker with a strong ability to deliver products and results. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in stakeholder relations, communications, or related role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bilingual in French and English considered an asset

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Experience in crisis management and issues resolution

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
