Stay Safe. Respect the Trails.

Why It Matters

As riding season begins across Canada, more riders are heading back onto trails, tracks, and off-road terrain. But with increased activity comes increased responsibility.

Off-road riding can be an incredible way to explore nature, connect with community, and enjoy the outdoors — but safe riding habits are essential to reducing injuries, protecting trail access, and maintaining positive relationships with landowners and local communities.

Unsafe riding, impaired operation, and off-trail use can lead to serious accidents, environmental damage, and trail closures. By working together and promoting a unified national safety message, we can help ensure off-road riding remains safe, accessible, and enjoyable for years to come.

This campaign exists to:

Promote Safe Riding Practices

Encourage riders to wear proper protective gear, ride within their skill level, and perform pre-ride inspections before every ride.

Protect Trail Access

Promote respect for designated trails, local regulations, and environmental stewardship to help keep trails open and sustainable.

Build a Stronger Riding Community

Create a shared national message around safety, responsibility, and respect across all provinces and territories.

Educate Riders and Families

Provide riders, parents, and communities with safety tips, educational resources, and awareness content throughout the month of June.

Demonstrate Industry Unity

Bring together organizations, clubs, associations, and partners under one consistent national off-road safety initiative.
